At the end of forums index page, it shows who's online.

There it says something like registered users and "spiders".

Spiders are people that it's not registered?
Like people "spying" the forum?

It sounds like they are not welcome to the forum.

If that's the reason, how could we expect that they accept us?
They are not welcome to know our reallity?

We're opening our lifes, I think not only us can learn about our stories.
Sites like this can help other people to understand us.

If that's not the reason, forgive me  :P

Please, I wanted to say this in very good terms.

See ya!

Spiders roam the web gathering information for the various search engines such as Yahoo and Google.  If it wasn't for the spiders the web would not be as successful as it is.  That's how many people found their way to Susan's, by following the links provided by search engines.  Spiders are our friends (Generally).

But why do we call them "spiders"?

Because they search the web?

Jajajaja

I didn't think of that.

If you have a webpage or blog you may want to learn more about how to direct spiders to, or block spiders from certain (or all) pages of your site.

Googlebot—obviously google's and one of the largest—has an extensive help page.

Thanks Sandi I'm going to check that out.  Not that i have anything sensitive in my blog or website but it would be nice to know a little more about them.

;D

Personally,  I don't mind holding either one as long as I know they're not poisonous.

Do not know why but the subject line reminded me of:

Hammer:
... Now here is a little peninsula, and here is a viaduct leading over to the mainland.
Chico:
    Why a duck?
Hammer:
I'm all right. How are you? I say here is a little peninsula, and here's a viaduct leading over to the mainland.
Chico:
    All right. Why a duck?
Hammer:
    I'm not playing Ask-Me-Another. I say, that's a viaduct.
Chico:
All right. Why a duck? Why a--- why a duck? Why-a-no-chicken?
Hammer:
I don't know why-a-no-chicken. I'm a stranger here myself. All I know is that it's a viaduct. You try to cross over there a chicken, and you'll find out why a duck. It's deep water, that's viaduct.
Chico:
    That's-why-a-duck?
Hammer:
Look ... Suppose you were out horseback riding and you came to that stream and wanted to ford over there, you couldn't make it. Too deep.
Chico:
But what do you want with a Ford when you gotta horse?
Hammer:
Well, I'm sorry the matter even came up. All I know is that it's a viaduct.
Chico:
    Now look ... all righta ... I catcha on to why-a-horse, why-a-chicken, why-a-this, why-a-that. I no catch on to why-a-duck.
Hammer:
I was only fooling. I was only fooling. They're going to build a tunnel in the morning. Now, is that clear to you?
Chico:
    Yes. Everything---excepta why a duck.

It was just an incorrect interpretation of the concept.

You don't have a problem with spiders, huh?  well, meet my eight-legged friend CHAR.  He's been rather grumpy lately, but he's not mean......hey at least he is not a  black widow...

Charlotte, meet CHAR
