I have problems filling out application forms. I get hung up when they ask for my  gender: "M" or "F"? No other options. Sometimes, I draw a little tick-marked box and write "T" beside it. Eventually, I will be able to tick off the "F" box. For now, though, it's neither. That's the way it is for millions of transgender people around the world who live somewhere between official gender designations. Life would be so much easier if there were a third option. It's so simple, and really, it's not a lot to be asking of society.
