The 39th Chicago Pride Parade celebrates city diversity

Link
6/16/2008

"Every year, the city's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender population has joined their straight brethren in celebrating the diversity of sexual orientation and LGBT rights at the Chicago Pride Parade. It has been held since 1970, making it one of the longest-running pride parades in United States. As attitudes towards the LGBT individuals changed, the parade gained prominence, becoming an important part of the city's cultural fabric."
