And what a pity that is.  Plaid shorts make butts look big  :(.

my butt is small for a female bodied person of my weight anyways.  so it loks good anyways.  i cant help it.  im just that sexy.

It has nothing to do with a butt's natural size (mine is small as well), its just that plaid is just one of those patterns that give off the illusion of width.   Just like verticle pinstripes make legs look longer and black makes you look slimmer.

Jay and Dennis.  You both look great. :icon_wink:

As far as the pants to the pecs and shorts with full length socks is in the 'Old Farts Handbook', along with the old man shuffle.

Be afraid, Be very afraid.

Please don't ever do that, please guys.  If you love us, Please Don't. **pleading on her knees**

Love,
Janet

Hello Jay,

Sorry to be blunt, but get some socks like Dennis's for wearing outdoors in grassy places, if nothing else.  You look dorky because you're risking chiggers and ticks and all sorts of bug bites standing there in the grass by the outhouse in ankle socks.  :)  Think more practicalities, less fashion.

And then, watch, the higher socks will grow on you.  You'll like the feel of you ankles covered and you'll end up wearing them just like that to bars and movies and such.  Over time you'll base these decisions less on what looks dorky and more on what you can get away with.

Okay, I cave. :icon_ihearu:

I'm going to buy dorky socks so I can look like Dennis, cuz he looks like a guy (cuz he is a guy!) and I don't (though I am a guy!).

I'll be back later to post pics, I swear!  Cuz I got my new glasses, too.

Yeah, but I bet he wears a monkey suit in court, so don't take it too far.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I have drawers full of those socks.

You can't beat bags with 8 pairs for under 10 bucks.

I  think Jonas was just kidding, Cindy.  Please don't go away.  We like you.  We really, really like you. :icon_hug:

I hate the mid-calf look.  The boys at my brother's high school wear black dress socks with shorts.  Its a horrid sight to see a bunch of teenagers wearing shorts and black socks pulled up on their calves.

Nice!  Now, um...they just need to be a *little* bit dingy...you know, so they're not so, bright, next to sneakers, say.  Ha, you're out there in the woods, go get dirty!  :)

Hi Sonia hon. Nice avatar, the lavender top goes well with your complexion. I don't believe we met yet so welcome to Susan's. Trans Rights, yup.

Hi Jamie-o, thank you hon. My feathers may have been ruffled a bit but I don't stay like that for very long, it's not my nature.  ;D

I do have some good news to share though. Today has bee a busy day for me, At my work at the women's shelter I put in for peer support worker. My coordinator at work asked me if I would  be interested in working with our TS sisters who are on the street, I told her I was. I now have the possibility of peer support worker in two different places. I feel quite grateful and happy about this outcome. To feel needed and useful is all I set out to do on this board as well.
