Sorry for restarting an older thread but if the costs are still low w/the mentioned Pharmacy then it might be worth restarting. I had an appointment yesterday to meet a new Doc at the local Indian Hospital. The old doc up and left and they handed over his patients to this new doc. I went in and asked to get my levels checked and while talking I mentioned injectables. At the end of my visit I left relieved that he was professional and didn't say something like "you'll need to go somewhere else for that!" I also left with a Rx for Delestrogen and Prometrium.

I had been wanting to do the injections for quite some time but money is always a huge factor! I've saved up so I am anxious to give injectables a try and see how it works out for me. I went into town after the hospital visit and tried Wally World and got quoted a price of $177 for Delestrogen and $256 for Prometrium!

Holy Crap!!!  :o :o :o

I then went to Walgreens and the Pharmacy Tech at the counter told me they didn't carry the injectable Delestrogen but did have Prometrium. The Prometrium costs...are you ready for this??!!!

$381

This is for a monthly prescription! I'm wondering if anyone has used Anzao recently and if you might be able to PM me a recent price for Delestrogen. I am aware that we aren't allowed to discuss dosages here so I will do that in PM. I'm wondering if Anzao also carries Prometrium or where else I could get that safely and cheaply. Thanks ladies :)

The injectables are expensive, but many will swear we get better results with them.  Compounding pharmacies can be a way to radically reduce the cost, but if you are highly sensitive to oils, you may find you'll get an allergic reaction to the compounds.

I've been pricing and looking for the best deal I can find for the label Delestrogen.  If there's a Rite-Aid near you, try there.  Mine  has to order it and it takes 3 days or so to arrive, but they've had the best price I've found.

Good luck.

I got my meds taken care of now so I'm relieved. I did not go with the "monthly car payment" priced meds. I found compounding pharmacies, a gentleman of a Doc, and this forum a major help!!!

1st injection here I come this Friday :)

Out of curiosity, did you use a local compounding pharmacy or a mail order one here in the US?

I used a mail order pharmacy. You do need a Docs Rx and they will call him/her to verify.

Right -- I got that - I was curious which one in particular.... I've tried several (Custom Scripts and Stroeheckers) and had difficulties with the suspension oils used, so I'm looking for ones I'm not aware of in hope of cutting my costs.

Hi Pheonix. I used Anazao for my estradiol valerate.

Thanks!  That's a new one for me to look into.

I used anazao, switched to stroheckers and started to have a problem with the oil in the estrogen.  I was injecting in my thigh, and had extreme pain a day or two after injecting, to the point of not being able to walk for 3 or 4 days.  Thought it might be the type of oil but calls to both pharmacies confirmed they use the exact same stuff. I almost decided to switch back to patches.  Spoke to a very nice pharmacist at stroeheckers who suggested I switch to injecting in my butt, rub the area vigorously right after injecting, and use very hot compresses (as hot as you can stand) for a while after that.  I probably do so for 5-10 minutes.  I guess it disperses the oil through the muscle?  Haven't had much of a problem since.  Still use thighs for the progesterone.  It is the same volume of drug as the estrogen but some sort of non-oil suspension, and doesn't cause any problems at all, so I assume that it is the oil base of the estrogen. Don't know if this might help you, it saved me.
