It's a logic question -- AHHHHH! Head for the hills! Into that cave quick!

Cem is a smart student whose teacher made the following claim: "If Cem takes the test, he will score 100%." However it turned out that Cem did not score 100% in the test. Assuming that the claim made by Cem's teacher was correct, which of the following can be deduced?

A: Cem took the test and some of his answers were incorrect.
B: Nobody was able to score 100% on that test day, neither did Cem.
C: Cem left some questions unanswered in the test.
D: Some of Cem's friends scored 100% on the test.
E: Cem did not take the test.


Yes I do know the answer. So do not just tell me what the answer is. Rather I'm wondering how to get the answer. So all of you logicians crawl out of the woodwork, and show me please! It isn't that hard of a question to answer, but my logic is really bad.

I agree.  According to formal logic, it is physically impossible for Cem to have taken the test, regardless of how the test itself is scored.

That is how I felt for most of my career at Eastman Kodak.  For 12 of my 13 years there, I looked forward to going in.  Only 1 year was "crap, I gotta go in today."  That was the year when they took me out on a stretcher.  (EKG's...  Enzyme tests...  Chest pains...  Not a good year...)  What I can say is that I left Kodak with the same feeling I started with - looking forward to going into work.  Probably why I still prefer film to digital.

I have a Kodak digital cam myself, and I like the ability that it gives me to take a lot of pictures without having to take out a loan, and the fact that I can see them right away and re-shoot as needed.  But at least Kodak got out front in all that, good for them, they have always been a pretty good company.
