Thanks everyone, that much has been happening in life that I just aint had the time to get online to be honest. Most of the madness that has been happening has been to do with work, I could spend the rest of my life explaining what has been going on but I will keep it short, you can see the full version when I sell the film rights of my life to Peter Jackson, lol - pfft, never mind the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy !!
Basically, work had been giving me hassle about pretty much everything they could find, some of it was justified but whilst I was being told what I could and couldn't do a lot of other people I work with were getting away with things. Most of it was stupid stuff, like the length of shifts we do - my manager was telling me I can't work a 10 hour shift whilst other people are able to do so. I also had quite a bit of time off sick whilst I was feeling really down, I had cut my arms a few times and had been in and out of hospital, but HR at work called me in as they didn't believe there was anything wrong with me. They must have obviously presumed the bandages on my arm were in fact some bizarre form of body art !! So anyway, they eventually suspended me for two months for not finishing my work one month and eventually brought me back in after giving me a final written warning. One of the first things they then asked me to do was to complete someone else's work as they hadn't finished it the month before, lol. So I put a grievance in and after about 6 weeks of doing nothing they then announced a lot of redundancies where about to happen, my name went on the list and they then responded to the grievance, answered none of my questions but did give me a free bucket of white wash which they advised to splash generously around my desk !!!! So I appealed that, they then had a hearing for that at which they still didn't answer most of the questions and I aint really any further along. They have given a "reduction in call volumes" as the reason for the redundancies, but the work I actually do has increased by about %100, so they have got people in to do that. On top of that they were negotiating pay rises with people to stay in the business before the names of those who would be made redundant were announced so it's all been a little fishy. I then asked for my HR record which they said I couldn't have, so I put a request in writing with a copy of the data protection act and they eventually provided me with a copy, the problem being with my record that it still has my previous name on, even though I was advised my record was updated about 2 and a half years ago. So that didn't impress me as anyone in the HR department has access to it. Then finally, I found out on my last day that the training department had been advising all the new staff we were taking on that I was currently going through a sex change - so I hit the roof and the case is now with my solicitor, hopefully pending an enquiry at an employment tribunal. So that is that, a very brief summary of what has actually been happening with work !!
In between that I was sexually assaulted outside my house, which I won't go in to much detail about as it really wasn't nice but I must say the police have been amazing. They had helicopters out looking for the guy who did it but couldn't find him, he then came back a few months later and hit me on the head with a spade, although I am pleased to announce there was no permanent damage - the spade did make a full recovery !!
Seriously though, I got checked out in the hospital and was okay. The house is now wired up with cameras and lights, in fact there are more light on my house than on Blackpool Tower I think, lol. But touch wood, everything has been okay for the last few months so things are kinda getting back to normally.
What else has happened ? I had a huge fight with my best friend, but we sorted that out. Christmas was fab, I bought loads of presents for everyone and a good time was had by all. The kittens I got last year will be a year old soon, although they still think its kinda fun to ambush me at about 2am for no apparent reason, but they are just so cute !!
My love life could be better, have been out with a few guys, one was really nice but he went all strange when the topic of a 2nd date came up which is a shame cos he was really nice !! Ooooh, and my surgery has been signed off at last, just waiting for an appointment with the specialist who will do the operation and should be on my way so things are looking up from that perspective. So right now I am feeling really happy, am setting 2 businesses up at the moment so they should hopefully be up and running in the next few weeks.
So there you go, that's about 8 months condensed down in to about 10 minutes !!
