Boy parts you may have.

Hmmm.

Well, hands and feet on males and females are exactly the same proportionately. If you were to cut off your hand or food and give it to a coroner, they would not be able to tell the difference. "Is this a 13 year old boy or an 18 year old girl?" This assuming that the nails/hair patterns were not a giveaway. Anyway, despite that fact, I think I have fairly masculine looking hands. I've been working on construction, driving nails into walls, so my arms are showing some improvement in strength and I think they will start to show soon as well. Besides that, I don't really have much going for me. My face is androgynous enough that I can pass... and I have like, no hips. But I'm also with Dennis. I have a lot of the stereotypical male behaviors, and always have. I just thought it was because I hung around boys and inherited it.

Digit ratio is not a end all, be all. My dad's fingers are like mine, the ring shorter than the index. And he's got plenty of testosterone.

I'm confused... fixing and leaving? My dad and I worked on the Honda in our garage for like 4 hours because I dropped a washer into the motor mount. We don't leave a job unfinished.

The finger part was about testosterone distributed in the womb, not through puberty. So I doubt they're saying anyone has less testosterone or more than someone else.

Yeah. But a lot of people say that being transmale is caused by having more testosterone in the womb. I don't like that idea, because a lot of transguys don't have the finger thing.

Nero

I don't have it. Normal female finger lengths here.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

I have feet that look weirdly similar to my dad's, and nice broad shoulders.  Everything else = FAIL.

Me neither. A long with a lot of other guys.  :P

But, like you said, there are bio men don't have it and its obvious that some bio women do. However, its undeniably more likely for a male to have it.

I don't think its enough either, but it seems to be a characteristic regardless. All the other features vary as well, but its the majority that puts them into that category.

-sigh- I simply dislike transmen one-upping each other. "I have a longer finger, I got more testosterone." It's just kind of irritating to me because I'm pessimistic and paranoid. I feel like everyone's trying to be more of a man than me...  :P I know that's not true, though. I don't think everyone cares that much.

Then why do we not rename this thread "Stereotypical Boy Parts You May Have"  ::) ?

Because thats just silly and doesn't quite get at the point I was trying to make.

Some guys actually have hips, but the majority don't really. Thats the sort of situation I'm trying to say... such traits don't make you less of a man. We're all unique, that goes for both genders.

Besides, everything thats been stated here has been pretty much stereotypical... because look at how many people here with biological female bodies have male physical traits and so on? Clearly no one here can carry a trait that solely belongs to someone who is born male unless they were actually born, physically, male. :)

Oh, I wish  ;).  As for this being all stereotypical already, I know; I am just trying to keep the infighting to a minimum here.

Oh, yes... I've seen a man with a fair pair of... hm, not sure if they were hips or something else. But I liked his shape.  ;D

So I took my shirt off yesterday, and realized that if I barely cover my chest that I can pass as male really well. HELLO PHOTOSHOP! Lol, just kidding. But seriously, I was amazed. After top surgery I think I'll be very happy. But surgery is like 3 or 4 years away... Honestly, if I had no boobs, I'd pass like 10x better than I do now (currently I'm only an A cup, but it makes a huge difference).

Lol, I'm one of the last people here who would try to start something. I've been in too many verbal and 'text' fights elsewhere to want to start one here. Especially not here, I don't see the benefit of arguing other than friendly debate.

Elwood: And just imagine what T would do on top of that. Even for those who have a very feminine figure or react to it slowly, they'll eventually get there over time.

I tend to be the person who starts the text fights, here. I'm on meds now, so maybe I'll calm down.

I KNOW! I think T will work magic for me.
  •

If your thinking that T will reduce the urge to fight, I kind of doubt it.

Whoever said that would happen? I was talking purely about the physical side effects.

Also, doubt what you will. I know a transman who really calmed down after he started T.
  •

In reality its often, without great clinical efforts, to tell the difference between what is a physical effect, and what is a psychological effect - almost impossible to tell the difference between the two.  So that if your mind really wants something, even if it might promote more aggression it just might be that getting it might well promote, on a mental level, a more calm behavioral pattern.

No doubt, giving people what they think they want will calm them down on at least a temporary basis.

However, if I started lacing the food at San Quentin with T, I bet I'd get a riot in short order.

We know that all humans have these chems in them in differing levels, who's to say that Liz I didn't have more T than say Victoria?  It might account for the more agro nature of her rule, then again, that might just have been the times, or the way she was raised.

These are powerful chemicals, and the impact of them is well documented, and T causes aggression in mammals in almost every case.

Aiden

Feet size 9 mens.. (not big big but bigger than average women)
Thicker body structure
Bit broader shoulders, and upwer arms are least thicker (can't wear most women designed shirts comfortably as is snug around the arms)
Fairly Hairy (except on face)
Neck hair
Tend to scratch in inappropriate places lol
Poor organizational, cleaning, and cooking skills (yeh I know there are guys who are good at these things)
Interested in more male things (blades, fire, dragons, etc.  Though do have a thing for leather and fur)
Single-minded a lot
Hate bright colors

Female things:
Big ass and broad hips
Large DD breasts (used to be larger but had reduced because of problems with back, wish could gotten it all off though!)
Moody/Emotional/Cry
Eyebrows and eyelashes
Thin fingers
Like Fur (and other fuzzy stuff lol)
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?
  •

tekla

What a bold departure into tired old stereotypes that was.

Tend to scratch in inappropriate places
Cultural, not a sexual trait

Poor organizational, cleaning, and cooking skills
Right, and that's why most of the most fundamental organizational stuff, like governments, military forces and the bureaucratic structures are like, well, all male.  As are most of the chiefs, and most of the guys I know keep their own house better than the woman I know do.

I just don't buy the male/female deal, I know far too many exceptions.  I know far too many bio guys that given a 7.5 inch circular saw need not wood, but an appointment for the emergency ward.  I know many girls who handle it quite well.
