Very first side effect of T:  Zits!  I have 5.

Normally I have maybe 1-2 per month total.  This morning I woke up with 5 after 4 doses of T.

I'm officially a newbie teenaged male, LOL.

LOL... yeh something I would not be looking forward to.  I still break out with them in places even though am 22 years old
Every day we pass people, do we see them or the mask they wear?
If you live under a mask long enough, does it eventually break or wear down?  Does it become part you?  Maybe alone, they are truly themselves?  Or maybe they have forgotten or buried themselves so long, they forget they are not a mask?

LOL, I'm 47 and am starting to rival my 13-yr-old daughter!  I'm gonna have to borrow her zit cream at this rate!!

Yeh but your taking T!  LOL i'm not.  Then again could be some of my bad habits I have that might be why I break out lol.

Welcome to Testosterone, Jay. :D

I've never seen anyone so excited about getting acne. Haha. Congratulations--I think.
  •

Aiden

LOL...  yeh congrates :)  But yeh just try not to do what I do and pick at them to much lol.  Think some of the places on my skin are from having picked at them when had them.  (I still don;t listen to my own advice though lol)

I've  never gotten them before-- One side effect I'm not looking forward to!

You might be lucky, Havok. I had almost none during my first puberty and only a few, which I was able to keep under control with phisohex, during the second.

But go ahead and enjoy those zits, Jay ;)

Lol, welcome to your second puberty!

I'm actually worried about when I go on T because I'm still fighting acne.
Don't be scared to fly alone, find a path that is your own
Love will open every door it's in your hands, the world is yours
Don't hold back and always know, all the answers will unfold
What are you waiting for, spread your wings and soar

2 months on T here, and I have less zits than before!   ???  That's not a complaint... I'm just saying... weird.
  •

J.T.

yeah this is the one thing i could do without... but you can't pick and choose.  and they freaking hurt too.

congrats dude!

Yeah, I can deal with zits.  It means the good stuff is coming. :)

Just watch out for them when you shave!

I have them a lot compared to my zit free 1st puberty!

  •

Elwood

Zits are also a side effect of shaving. You'll break out a lot, sir. :(

Also remember you're going through little boy puberty right now! And it's going to be like 10 times as fast as it normally would be. :P

I'm going to break out like nobody's business. I already break out a lot from stress.
  •

Aiden

Hmm maybe it's stress reason I break out LOL

I was wondering about beards.  Do you have to use shaving cream?  Even when I used to shave my legs I never used shaving cream, prefered liquid body soap while was in shower.  But of course a beard is different.  Not sure what would work.  Don't really like shaving cream but could use it if had to

Beards are tougher hair. Ever try letting your armpit hair grow out and then shave it without shaving cream? I did once, and it was a nightmare. I'd imagine that shaving a beard off would be equally as difficult without some sort of cream.

Plus your face is more sensitive than your legs. Shaving cream is a definite must, and at first you might need an aftershave lotion to cool off.

If you're trying to control your pimples... try benzoyl peroxide – OXY makes a face wash that is AWESOME!! I wish my dr would have told me about it when I first started instead of 2 years later. My acne was horrible but it looks a million times better now. A word of caution though – it has a beaching side effect so make sure you wash ALL of it off when you use it. I ruined a few shirts before I figured out where it was coming from.
