HRC Foundation to send Religion & Faith Director Harry Knox to Tennessee
WASHINGTON – The Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the nation's largest gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization, issued the following statement today on the tragedy at Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. According to authorities, a man walked into the Knoxville area church on Sunday shooting and killing two adults and wounding seven others before being overpowered by congregants. The HRC Religion & Faith team placed calls to Unitarian Universalist Association officials this morning to offer our condolences and support. A vigil is scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. Religion & Faith Director Harry Knox will be in attendance and is offering assistance as needed.
