I need serious help dudes (and dudettes).
The GLBTQQI office at our school hasn't had the trash taken out in a while since its summer, and I have no idea who it is that's been eating in there but now the office is FULL of fruit flies. No joke, it's like a cloud when you walk in, I'm afraid I'm gonna breathe one of them in haha.
My friend and I tried to bomb it yesterday with an indoor fogger that the people at the hardware store recommended to NO AVAIL. I just went in this morning (so it's been over 4 hours, the time it needs to kill them) and they're alive and kicking, happily resting in the garbage can still. I know they're alive cause I kicked the can to double check, and they all flew out.
How the hell do you get rid of a SWARM of fruit flies? 5 or 6 I know how to get rid of, but 40 or more...I'm not so sure anymore.
Can anyone help??? Got any tips for killing that many fruit flies?

I called sanitation and they came and got the trash so most of them are gone.
Did the DIY traps they recommended since I'm not about to go hunting SPECIFICALLY fruit fly made aerosols (which are apparently online or hard to find).
Most of them are gone but a few still linger. No worries though everyone, you can ignore this post.
