Today is 8/8/08.  Beyond being an interesting date numerically eight is a lucky number in China.  And being also the Year of the Rat, the Chinese are opening the Beijing Olympics today.

This date has a certain symetry for me since I am a cat-type person and my other name is Miao Shan.  And today is my half-birthday.

I am a RAT in China (and a Capricorn here)

I brought a Silver and Gold Rat pendent last time I was in China.
