Fascinating.

I've never heard the word 'androgyne' pronounced out loud before. It sounds different when I think about it. The 'g' is pronounced as a 'j'.

It's interesting what you say about having an established figurehead to identify with to people. I admit that I hadn't ever considered that, and how difficult it must be. Knowing yourself is one thing, but being able to relate that knowledge to others is quite another... because we tend to assume that their knowledge is equal to ours. So, with a term that's far more tenuously defined, and not inherently understood... it would be easier having someone that embodies all that, to which you can say "See them? That's me, too."

So is it the barrage of questioning and possible explanation more of a deterrant to telling people than the issue of how you'll be percieved by them for being 'different'?

Above all... remember: you are beautiful, you are valuable, and you have a shining spark of magnificence within you. Don't let anyone take that from you. Embrace who you are. <3

i think everybody else pronounces it with a soft 'g', i move it around depending on how it comes out.

Yeah, I don't tell because I can't be bothered to explain it everytime, because I can't be bothered to argue me case and because once it is through - nothing really changes.

I like this video Pica! Yes, it's really tricky coming out to other people as androgynes, since most people outside our internet community haven't heard of this before and have no context for understanding it. I usually end up saying that certain aspects are similar to transgender or transsexual and then go from there to my personal differences.

On another subject, I think a dress with floral designs would be nicer than polka dots, perhaps you can find something that complements your hair colour.

what colours do go with this hair?

Just about every color, I'd say. And you've never looked more beautiful than in that dress, babydoll. It's perfect on you. Yuck, I said something nice again. My apologies.  :-X

Sie did fine. Not like she's been taught how or anything.

You did the Sharon Stone move on purpose?

no, but i slouched on purpose, i thought that's what tekla meant.
no the sharon stone was just an accident, due to the fact i find myself moving around and moving my arms around and pulling faces when in front of the camera - i think it's something to do with the way that a camera never gives reaction.

Well the slouch deal was bad enough, I was thinking more along the lines of I could have put a yardstick between your knees and still had room left over.

Well then you should switch to a longer dress/skit, or funnier underwear.

Amen to that.  My feelings exactly.  Love this video, by the way!  It might be my favorite...actually, I'm pretty sure it is.  :D

I was going to mention the way you were sitting too...I have to confess though, I tend to sit that way in a skirt too, but I'm more conscious of it.  It is a completely learned practice, isn't it?  I hadn't thought about that before.  If you sit just right, you can still sit that way, but the skirt will dip down and cover up the undies.

Although, the elephant head underwear would be hilarious... ;D
