"Ladies and gentlemen, whether you like it or not: Hedwig!"

With that German-accented intro, Hedwig struts onto the stage in her makeup, wig and wedge heels.

And she rocks.

"Don't you know me, Naples, Florida?" the transsexual rock singer snarls as ferocious guitar chords explode behind her. "I'm the new Berlin Wall, baby.
