The school failed to act, even though they knew there was a problem. I hope that the parents win in court. I went to a high school that was so packed that it was hard to move in the halls during class changes. Yet, the Principal, VP, and a good deal of teachers kept up on almost everything and usually could head off the major problems before they started. Today it seems that schools want to scream, "Not responsible!" and have replaced common sense with "Zero Tolerance" (meaning zero thought) policies but only for situations that are expressly a part of those policies and nothing else.
