In an image-conscious industry, Karan's decision is incredibly surprising and it lets everyone know how serious he takes his acting career; Karan has donned myriad roles throughout his career, including that of a college student, romantic hero, innocent villager, illicit liquor brewer, etc.
Sources say Karan will enact this role in his forthcoming film, Ardhanari, to be directed by Nanda, who directed Oru Kallooriyin Kadhai. Nanda was full of praise for Karan who accepted this role readily. He was surprised by the actor's commitment levels.
