Writing a biog that is interesting, truthie (copyright Stephen Colbert), and Un-self conscious is so hard.

Short and sweet.
I grew up a Jehovah's Witness. I grew up a trans Jehovah's witness. Spent years being either physically, sexually or mentally assaulted and manipulated by adults.

Like J.G Ballard said about writing the book ``Empire of the Sun''

"It took me twenty years to forget the things that happened then and then another twenty to remember them so I could write them down." I paraphrase.

I feel like I will never come to terms with what happened to me. It happened. I am coming to terms with myself, which seems a better way to do it.

I stay debatably sane by reading & writing.

Welcome to Susan's, Melontop. :icon_hug:

I understand quite well the writing.

It's been a part of my life since elementary school and jejune poems and essays written then.

But sane is not a bad thing, dear. If the writing helps make one whole then she should write. Life is forever about finding ways to deal with the fact of being alive. That one much healthier and worthwhile than many.

Hi Melontop,

Welcome to our little family. Over 1800 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.

Hi  Melontop, welcome to Susan's. Writing, I love writing also reading. I have written many fictitious short stories back when I was certainly going through some disturbing times. In writing those stories they became an escape from this reality, I was in another world. I still like writing stuff. Well I do pray that you will find the answers you seek here in these forums. There are many wonderful folks who I am quite certain will be eager to help you find answers to your many questions.

Hi, Cindybc and Gennee,

Thanks for the welcome. Writing is one of those things isn't it? No matter how loud the crashing storms get all we need to survive is that little ember in the quiet of our mind's eye. I love the idea that the pen is mightier than the sword. The sword is just about the mightiest thing people can imagine. Since the dawn of the multiple warhead re-entry vehicle anyway. And yet still, still, the pen trumps them all. My mind with a pen in it's hand - our minds - can take them all on and walk away on top.

Wow do I agree with you Melontop. Most of my fictitious stories were children's stories about child heroes. Like reliving my own childhood imagination. Although I have written romance as well as Western. and of course the exploration of the stars. It is like one is truly living in those stories as you give them reality with the pen, this world disintegrates and an imaginary one materialises around you to replace the former.

Here is a piece out of one my stories, Dunes of Mars Warrior Princess.

The princes slipped the energy weapon back in the side holster and stood with her supple arms out and her fists firmly resting on her hips while appraising her downed prey. Her full breasts beneath her leather tunic rose and fell with her rhythmic breathing. Her eyes nearly glowed with their own inner light in the darkness of the night, her long silken hair fell over her right shoulder seemingly emphasizing the final touch to the proud gracefulness of her stature there in the clearing before her downed prey. She prayed in thanks to the cadok's life force to have given itself to her the sustenance of it's body.

Hi Cindy,

Good stuff. Have you posted any other writing on the Entertainment thread? I posted a short story there. It's nifty that the space is there. I like the character in the piece you posted, -strong female leads are always a winner with me.

Hi  Melontop hon I have a link from this group that leads you a story titled **Agathar** which I posted here back a few months ago. So far I have had only one memeber that came to read it. Well at anyrate I would be quite interest in continuing to do some sharing and contributions. I beleive that through our sharing we could come up with some pretty fascinating ideas. It is sad that not many folks here appear to have much interest in the literary.
