Susan

As I haven't seen Steph since June and she didn't respond to a PM asking her about her situation I have moved her to a retired staff status. Steph's contributions to this site are unmeasurable. Through her hard work she has helped make Susan's Place what it is today.  I miss her already. She is of course welcome back on staff any time she's ready to return!

I have appointed Emelye as the new Wiki Administrator. I feel that she is the best choice for the job and will do us all proud! She is be looking for 10-20 hard working individuals who love researching and writing informative articles, and in doing so making our wiki the goto place to find out information about GLBT, and intersex topics. So we could use your help! Email wikiadmin@susans.org

Everyone be sure to offer Emelye your congratulations!

Indeed! Steph's help/contributions to this site has/have been beyond inmense.  I miss her dearly as well :(  but I also understand that sometimes our personal lives come first.  I hope she's doing alright!

On the other hand, I'm quite happy that Emelye is going to take her place, and I'm sure she'll do a wonderful job too.  Congratulations Emelye and all my best! :)

Congratulations, Emelye!

I know you have a huge job ahead of you and I hope others will pitch in and help.  And don't forget to ask for the color you want for your company car!

Thank you all for your congratulations!  :)

I've been missing Steph for quite awhile.  She served as a role model for me when I first started coming here and continued in that position when I was fortunate enough to have her accept me as a Wiki editor.  I'm very grateful to her for her service to our community and for her kindness and understanding with a "baby transwoman" taking her first steps.

The Wiki has been indelibly marked by her presence and I am committed to making her legacy prosper.  I'll be poking around for a bit, learning some of the new ropes that have appeared with this new responsibility and hope patience will be rewarded with some meaningful and progressive improvements to the site.  I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Susan for the faith she has in my abilities as well as to thank all of the previous and current Wiki editors for their contributions.  I'd also like to thank everyone ahead of time for their patience with the noob admin while she gets the hang of things.

Along with improving the Wiki, I'd like to improve and expand the Wiki staff.  To this end I would love to hear from people who might wish to make suggestions, have ideas, or even have the motivation to roll up their sleeves and dig in themselves.  There will be more on this in other posts but, in this regard, methinks it's never too early to begin.

Once again, thank you all!

hugs & smiles

Hi Emelye and Everyone:

Congratulations Emelye - I know you will just be wonderful with this posting.

I just talked with Steph and she is doing fine, life is hectic for her and she is enjoying her life.  What with work and just life in general she rarely gets to the Internet anymore.  Which I find shocking as she was always surfing and sussing out new information for everyone.   :D

Emelye - Steph passes on her good wishes to you.

Life moves on and its really healthy to outgrow internet TS groups ?

I'm sure Steph is doing fine and I have a great admiration for her (someone who helped me decide on my Brassard choice).

Guess my life too has overtaken involvement in forums like this, I'm a rare poster these days, but will there ever be a time when I make a total "break", never need to take a peek in what's going on in our special circle ?

Best wishes to Steph, and I'm sure Emelye will be a fine replacement in her "job" ...
