Is there any one else here who is into goth rock, punk, IDM, industrial anything non-pop like that? Where I'm from every tg person seems to feel like they have to assimilate into pop culture so i always have trouble finding any one in our community that i get along with.

I all kinds of music as well.  My all time fav is the Cranberries, crnked to the full.  Then at the other end I like Enya and fall apart listening to Alison Krauss.

Stephanie Craxford ~ The cranberries are great. I haven't heard them in forever. I am going to have to track down that cd.

LostInTime ~ lol im sure Danny filths voice alone is enough to confuse everyone you work with.

VeryGnawty ~ Are you more in to like ebm or like the gritty skinny puppy type of industrial? Personally i like it all. Im also a huge fan of idm music and i like some trance to.

Any, really.  I just like industrial, and also techno, styles.

I really like Children of the Monkey Machine.

And also Aetherius (which the composer self-describes as "symphonic-industrial")
"The cake is a lie."

I like quite a variation, but mainly Rock, Punk, Indie and Emo.

um, well, I'm mostly into punk, ska and 80s. there are some artists in goth, industrial, synth-pop, rock, metal and pop that I do also enjoy. I love, love, love 80s hair metal. I confuse people when I actively switch from Korn to Tori to Depeche Mode to KMFDM to NWA.

Yes I said I love DISCO.
I will now hang my DISCO ball up in the open and show my pride
And now if you will excuse me Saturday Night Fever is on  ;D ;D ;D

I've grown tired of so called "classic rock" since most of it has been played to death.

Some pop is good so I like to keep my ears open for new sounds.  Also like Ani Difranco alot and chick music in general especially heavy loud punkish stuff like Sleater-Kinney (who are playing in Madison next week--yeah!).  Jazz, classical--especially Schubert at the moment.

Try not to limit myself but can't really get into country.

I like everything from pop to hard rock, from Elvis, Beatles, Queen, Bananarama, Def Leppard, Smokie, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Scooter, Boston etc ...  to Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton, if I'm in the right mood than I listen even the Mozart and Beethoven sometimes.
