Library probably.

Do you have anyone you could stay with? Couch surf with friends? Are you underage?

2nded. Again.

If it was kicked out of my house, I wouldn't run straight to a computer. I'd probably go cry at Positive Images. Which is a really long walk so I'd have to take a bus.

I might, simply because all my friends live in my computer.  Or, rather, we're all email junkies. :)

Actually I've gotten kicked out before and went to a friends house and I ended up JUST bringing my computer. Internet does not imply being healthy, unrejected and awkwardly invading your friends house.

I mean. I had to work all this stuff out before moving back in cause my friends were kicking me out as well... To "Avoid getting involved."

Yeah. Some Metro areas have shelters specifically for queer youth.

That really sucks.

If you're under 18, legally they can't kick you out. If you're over 18, well, that changes things. But, it still sucks.

I'm sorry, Jack. It sounds like your family is very mixed up. I almost feel sorry for them. But they have a responsibility to you, and they're not doing right by you.

You need some stability in your life. Can you get in touch with the nearest GLBT center and see what resources they can dig up for you? You can't keep bouncing around like this.

Keep us posted, man.

The ability to have a computer and internet connection are so prevalent today that yes, you can be kicked out and still have access to the internet. I would also think that coming here as one of the first things after being kicked out is not totally unheard of. I would have probably done the same had I been kicked out when I was younger, since this would have been the only place I would have had friends to talk to and for support. Remember that this site is a support site, and to reject someone's story and possibly beat them down even lower seems a bit harsh, especially before you know all the details.

Anyways, Jack, I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. I take it you're in college, right? If so then I would think that they would be open 24 hours like mine was most of the time, and if not then you may be able to talk to them to get help finding a shelter or another place to live. Take care and be strong. Focus on your education and don't let it slip. That will be the safety net you need to get yourself on your own two feet and not have to rely on your parents anymore.

I hear that the price of salt is at an all-time low in some parts of the country right now.

Well Jack, I hope you have some where to stay. Start dialing your friends etc and looking for loans or work to pay for an apartment. Worst comes to worse the school should be able to help find a shelter or something. I have been on the streets it isn't fun but you can pull through.

In terms of other people, WTF? I stayed at friends who had the internet and computers when I was homeless and that was over 5 years ago. Yeah everyone on the internet may be lying and probably is, but how do you know that guy is? Talk about kicking a guy when he is down if you are wrong and if you are right what have you won? Surely most of us have seen Bambie; "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all."

Jack, if I can be of some assistance please PM. Maybe I can think of options you haven't tried?

Dude!
I remember the first time you got kicked out not too long ago. I can't believe they took you back just to kick you out again! (In fact, I didn't know they'd let you come back home).
Sorry about this dude it must really suck....

I kicked myself out of my house. Not the same as your situation, but I pulled together some loans and moved on campus. Can you do the same? If not, can you get to a shelter? Find a safehouse? There's a woman down here who's not an official shelter but she runs a safehouse for LGBTQs.

Keep us posted, and I'm sorry about this.

Gotta run to class, hope to hear from you soon
