Significantly, however, the Empire State Pride Agenda (ESPA), New
York's LGBT lobby, made no endorsement in the race, despite the fact
that Connor is a co-sponsor of the group's three leading Albany
legislative goals - the marriage equality bill, the Gender Expression
Nondiscrimination Act (GENDA), which would give basic civil rights
protections to the transgender community, and the Dignity for All
Students Act (DASA), a public school anti-bullying bill that would
provide protections based on a number of criteria, including sexual
orientation and gender identity and expression.
