Ok, so I had a different question. I occasionally have these food cravings (usually something sweet), that are crazy intense, like "I need this now!!!!!! GIVE IT TO ME!!!!", and if I don't watch myself, I can act funny. Like about 15 minutes ago, I just suddenly NEEDED chocolate, and I'm searching for and found two squares. After that, I was happy :D.

Now, I'm wondering, I noticed most guys don't have that kind of craving, I asked a male SO of mine, and he was like "Uh, no." If memory is correct, I noticed those kind of "crazy" cravings seem to reside in girls more.

Could I be wrong? I don't know, I just was wondering if it is my imagination, or if there is a connection?

It would seem girls do tend to crave sweets more than guys, yes. The only time I ever really want something sweet is when pmsing - which makes me think it may indeed be an estrogen induced weakness.

I have a big fat sweet tooth in general. I know some guys who do, some guys who don't.

For some girls its hormone related, like Nero said. Other times its just because people love their sweets so much.

all of my food choices are craving based, or else I'm not satisfied.

The strangest craving I've had is for peanut butter, cause I don't care for it, but it's not really an I must have peanut butter! craving more like, I could go for some peanut butter... Usually when I have a craving where I can't deny it is when I've been sweating and need some salt so I crave things high in salt.

Well maybe that explains why since starting T I've had no desire for sweets and processed carbs (bread, crackers, chips, cakes, etc).  I've been the biggest junk food junkie my whole life, sugar addict extraordinaire.

My gyn confirmed it Thurs at my post-op hysto appt: I've lost 15 pounds since starting T.  (I don't weigh myself at home).

I have to keep chocolate in the house at all times. I don't need a lot. I mean, I'm not walking around with fudge sauce on my face and hair. But I do make sure there is always something. If there isn't, and that NEED hits, I am like a junkie, I go insane and cant think of anything else til I hotstep it out into the howling storm to go to 7-11. Right now my stash is a bag of Hershey mini's. I also have hot chocolate ( dark supreme!) in the cupboard for when cooler weather comes.  ;)

Stealth, unrepentant chocoholic

PS--even my real-life nickname is "Cookie" lol.

The worst part is I have expensive taste, so I cant just get inexpensive chocolate.  Thankfully I can hit the grocery store and they have at least Ghiradelli and Lindt chocolate, which satisfies my cravings.  Those two are good chocolate for commercial brands that sell in common stores.  The best chocolate I have ever had came from Switzerland though, and it was some my Uncle brought back from when he visited his sister.  It tasted so amazing it wasn't even funny, the best tasting chocolate I have ever had.......ever, beats the crap out of Godaiva even.

Oh, man. I feel you on that one. During the summer, I worked at a summer camp for disabled kids. The food was awful, but there was always a jar of peanut butter, a loaf of bread, and usually some honey, so the counselors could make peanut butter sandwiches. I loooooove peanut butter, so it was a welcome alternative! But during the last week of camp, there were kids with peanut allergies, so they took away our peanut butter! I had peanut butter withdrawal... :'(

I have weird cravings ALL the time!  I have a weakness for pickles especially, either bread & butter or sweet gherkins.

Sometimes I'll combine some things and eat it all at once, just random stuff.  My friends think it's the weirdest thing, but it's all going to the same place, right?  :icon_dribble:

Most of the time I find myself craving salty and saucy stuff.  I end up using about one large-sized bottle of soy sause a week and I put it on the strangest things, such as pizza and meatballs.

I pour chili sauce on everything - the spicier, the better.  I've become so desensitized to the heat it that the average stuff from the grocery store just tastes like sale & vinegar.  I have to go to the specialty stores for the good stuff.  The best I've found so far is Dave's Ultimate Insanity.  This stuff can literally kill you if you're too young, too old, or you have heart problems.  If I worked for the DEA (US), I'd say it should be listed as a Schedule II controlled substance.
