The Atlanta Police Department's LGBT liaison is preparing to make the rounds at police roll calls next week to remind officers to use respectful and appropriate terminology when dealing with gay, lesbian and transgender individuals.

Officer D. Harris said all officers already received such language training as part of the course she teaches at the police academy, but she feels compelled to refresh everyone's memory after a Zone 5 officer used the term "->-bleeped-<-" in his police report about prostitution arrests made in Midtown Sept. 5.
