My brother, Eric, is my only sibling. He's six years older than me, and he has been mean to me a lot in the past. Since I came out to him, he's been horrid. He's made me super sad, anyway. He's given me mean looks, like an expression of his fury at my audacity to cavort about the house with such horrific things on like girl's clothes and eyeliner. I tried to make him understand, I've always tried, because I couldn't take how he looked at me, and pointedly refused to call me Sarah while my parents do. But my fervent words seem to have fallen upon him with no effect, as though he has determinedly blocked me out in his refusal to accept this new revelation; or so I've thought.
It seems that he has finally opened his heart and his mind and accepted me as his sister!
And it only happened today. It was sudden. I didn't expect it. But suddenly he is nice to me, he looks at me like I am someone he isn't nervous or ashamed to be in the same room with, he talks to me normally with no air of discomfort, and he calls me Sarah.
Well... I can only say this...
