The Coming Out Adventures of Sarah - Part I

I did it. I emailed an old friend and told him that I am a transsexual girl. His response was so perfect that I must share it with you.

He said:

Well, knock me over with a feather! I've been thinking about you recently and that a call was long overdue. I think I've known for a long time you were a transvestite, but a transsexual? That IS news. Are you getting the surgery or you just going to live the lifestyle, as it were?

This is a huge step for you. With the support of your wife and the understanding of your friends, I'm sure you'll be able to weather the coming storms. Whichever of your friends you do decide to confide in, that is. I'm honored to know you think highly enough of me to confide this secret which, needless to say, will remain one for as long as you wish

The next day we talked on the phone. I said "Hi, this is Sarah". He responded with "Hi, Sarah. I guess I've missed a lot, huh?"

We talked for over an hour and he slipped into my new gender identity with ease. What a love. I can only hope the rest of my revelations to family and friends go this well. I know they all won't, but this one gives me courage.

I also hope and pray that yours will all be as wonderful.

Hi Sarah hon, that is wonderful news, if I was you I would cherish and hold unto that friend as very special. I do believe that you will find other friends who will rally around you, especially girls. But as for family, well I would dread to even hazard a guess.

This wonderful man has been a friend for over twenty years. We have gone through a lot together. I even secretly fell in love with him. He is Puerto Rican with beautiful dark skin and the most gorgeous brown eyes you have ever seen. But I digress  .

On the phone he told me that he has known several TGirls and even went out with one for a while. I always knew he ws a bit of a swinger, but I never could have guessed that. I love him so much. No one could ever hope for such a good friend.

Hi Sarah hon, glad to hear you have known this person for as long as you have, I suppose that this would be a good indicator that he cares enough for you to at least be honest as to what his desires are. I will send prayers that all will continue to go well.
