Samhain, Always Beginning Life and Tending Bridget's Fire

I move through space, the space of a breath or the space of a series of breaths. I meet new people, sometimes clients, other students, new or old neighbors, people at the corner store or people in a mall or on a sidewalk. Everything changes.
The changes are imperceptible. It might be months on a calendar that pass before I even notice that somehow the flow has diverged from where I thought it was traveling. A side-river's begun to flow, or the main current has wound its way into an ox-bow. However it occurs I find my journey has taken a new turn, a new direction. Rather than heading east by northeast I find myself viewing the stars from a different angle at night.
I know that everything has changed and I am left amazed at the changes. I gaze about me and think: But, just yesterday, wasn't it, the sun made a roseate glow on the southern wall of the garden and the brick on the house was shadowed by that giant maple and the peach tree was fruited with a thousand luscious peaches, waiting for my hands to grasp them and drop them into my basket.
