The conceit here is that he is hosting some kind of musical transgender fest, liberally attended by guest artists from elsewhere, none of whom offer the kind of provocation that a minute in the presence of Kiki and Herb would have served. Bond's own mellow song styling only once erupts into footstamping rancour - the rest of the time this is a show of mood and music that fails to catch fire.
