When this generation of college students' grandparents went away to school, dorm rooms were off limits to members of the opposite sex.

When this generation's parents arrived on campus, co-eds started co-existing in the same buildings.

Now "Echo Boomers," the college-aged children of the Baby Boomers, are
calling for gender-blind housing assignments, where guys and girls can
live together in the same room.
