Brian Camenker (aka MassResistance) thumbed his nose at the milquetoast haters of Mass Family Institute, and tilted at the windmill of a referendum petition drive to repeal the repeal of "the 1913 laws" that previously prevented gay out-of-staters from marrying in MA.  Did ya get all that?   Brian described the effort in these heroic terms.

    This was a fight about principle - against overwhelming opposition and suppression from all sides.

He failed.

If I understand this paragraph written by Brian the Hater of gays -

But the obstacles that appeared before us were quite overwhelming:

   * Many people were afraid that if they signed, their names would end up on homosexual web sites and they would be harassed. As we all know, this happened with the Marriage Amendment petition signers, and a lot of people were harassed.

What he is saying is that many people feared that by signing his petition, their names would end up on websites that are homosexual and the names would be harassed.

People don't have time to legalize hate crimes these days. All the normal people are revving up to vote for the very cool Obama.  All the true haters are busy at McPalin hatefests.
