I think tolerance is becoming genuine

I am always amazed at just how wonderful most people are when they interact with me in public.  The other day as I was shopping in Macy's department store, I was approached by a delighful store clerk who was ever so helpful and attentive.  I know employees have a certain requirement to be nice to customers but this went beyond professional necessity.  This clerk knew I wasn't a genetic female (it's a little obvious) yet her attitude and her friendly demeanor was nothing short of terrific.  She approached me and offered her assistance without any hestation or fear.

Most of my other experiences, many involving people who weren't actually waiting on me, have been positive with people being friendly and gracious.  Such telerance is sometimes actually surprising; albiet welcome.  Non confrontational people or individuals that don't run away screaming when they meet me has led to mostly enjoyable public crossdressing experiences.  I wish those people read these forums because I would love to thank them properly for their open mindedness and their tolerance.

It is so wonderful being accepted for who you are.

It really isn't me making the difference.  It's all those wonderful people who have accepted me (and us).  Life is great when you can wear a dress, be happy, and not be judged because you are a little different. 

Of course, I am very careful about the venues and the activities I choose when I crossdress.  I think one of the reasons my experiences have been so positive is that I don't push the enevelope and I try not to be imposing.

Sometimes the clerk gets used to seeing cross dressing customer...So they are not shocked and give best help they can give...
