How long did it take for you to notice significant loss of muscle-mass after starting HRT, or for MtF, muscle mass gains?

I've been on full HRT for about 8 months now, and while my face has feminised to the point where I really can't pass as a male anymore, the same can not be said of my body. I've had some decreases in my forearms and maybe a cm or so in my chest/shoulders, but I still look like a swimmer on steroids, and I'm getting really tired of all the stares. People read me as female, but a few have wondered out loud if I bodybuild or something.

I just wanna be a waif! Is that so much to ask?!?!  :P

It can take foever if your relying on hrt, what do you do physically to reduce it Simone?

If your a gym bunny a great trick is cardio only / high rep low weights and stay away from exercise or weights for atleast 3 hours after eating protein.

Stops your muscles repairing fully after you have torn them and then they begin to shrink in size rather than rebuild and grow.

I have a body builder hunk chasing me at the mo, hes great for advice :P

Update

Heres a better explanation

Well, I'm vegan, and that has definitely helped some over the past few years. I go for a walk/jog every morning followed by some yoga, for about 90 minutes total.

The muscle mass I have though has been with me since high school, and I don't know, it's just bloody stubborn. I can feel myself losing strength, but sadly I can't say the same for the muscles themselves. Not most of it anyway. :(

Thanks for the link though Vanna. I'll definitely be looking at this later.

I too am on a vegan diet + gluten free. I workout on an empty stomick ( cardio only) then I don`t eat for a few hours after. I do pilates. seems to be working slowly but working. My arms are a little smaller but i think the rest of me is the same. I`ve been on HRT for one year.
