In the end, "Rent" didn't own the right hearts in Red Wing.

The Broadway hit was slated to be Red Wing High School's spring musical, but school administrators pulled the plug last month amid concerns over its content.

The decision drew a sharp rebuke from the play's supporters, some of whom spoke out at Monday's Red Wing School Board meeting.
