It isn't a stretch to call my home state of Oregon progressive when it comes to doing things differently from the rest of the country. The state already proposed the concepts countrywide of assisted suicide, legalizing marijuana for seriously ill people and may next point the way in allowing those of a different sexual orientation (specifically transsexual) to run for political office.
