Look, there is nothing wrong in asking the questions, in particular since they lay at the heart of other national matters. The case in question was the dumber of the two, I think the other one is going to be talked about today or tomorrow. The Donofrio deal involved dual citizens, and other passports, and also questioned McCain. The other one is a bit more to the point.
But, the general understanding - though no one has ever looked at this stuff since the ink dried - that you can't be an immigerent president, nor can you be a 'citizen' who has been living abroad too much (the 14 year deal).
However, its been common practice that in order to be a natural citizen you must a) be born here, or b) have at least one American parent no matter where you were born.
But I doubt the SCOTUS is going to like overturn an election. I don't like them much, but even I don't think they are that dumb.
