So, given that my daughter comes home from college this week and I lose pretty much everything for the winter recess, I managed to work out having today before I had to get to work.  And my wife was home today too - its been an issue that we haven't really faced for a bit, her around with my being dressed.  It freaked her several months ago and the only other time she was home, well, she managed to keep busy in other parts of the home or went out.

Today, however, she did go and do some errands, but we spent about an hour before and about two afterwards, together, talking face to face, even sitting to have a quick lunch together in the den watching tv.  She said she had no issues today at all, and likewise, I didn't either (except for worrying about her coming up while I was getting ready.. I'm very self-conscious about that..).  I really wanted this day to work out nicely, I dressed casually and appropriately, and it went well... another baby step I'm hoping, on my way.....  :)

So this morning, my wife is at work and calls to wonder why I wasn't texting her.. we have Blackberries and text back and forth most days.  So I shot her a message that my Blackberry was in my pocketbook.... Got no response to this which I had expected, so when I asked her about it, she nonchalantly replied, " didn't even notice the comment... maybe I'm just getting more comfortable with it all..."

We make mountains out of molehills sometimes, and we like to grasp at the littlest of positive reinforcement or support, but coming from my wife, this just feels so huge!

What's a 'pocket book'? We don't use the term here in New Zealand.

A purse - a carrying bag that you wear on a strap over one shoulder.  It's usually associated with women.
