Hello Laura.

Generally speaking no, but this is something that you must discuss with your doctor.  Normally before starting HRT you should have a thorough medical check up with blood tests to determine if there is any pre-existing medical condition that would prevent you from starting.

Usually if you are in generally good health there should be no problems, however check the article on HRT in our Wiki found here.  It is quite extensive and covers many of the dangers of HRT.  You can find the article here:

You need to see and discuss this with a Dr who is qualified in this area or your/a Dr.

Hi Laura,
From what I have read it's never to late.
I know of people who have started HRT in there 60's.
