haven't started HRT or anything (gawd, i wish i did... 4 years ago!)
as part of my 'process' of getting HRT, my shrink suggested me to come up to my parents. so i did later that night. it was very difficult. my parents had some ideas (with my collections of dolls and thigns that perhaps - in their eyes - female or gay men would like)
at first they thought i was gay, but i waved that off. though, strictly speaking, i am trans-lesbian (ie, i like genetic females).
it was very ackward moment and at one time, they urge me to get a girl, play sports, read car magazines, they even suggested if i can request
male hormones for HRT so i can be more manly.
suffice to say, i did it. and they've been on my back ever since. asking about my friend's background as if every single trans people are train-wrecks.
anyways, i just thought i'd want to share a little... not asking for any congradulatory... make my milestone here
