My mother called and said that I should watch it.  I told her about the anti-LGBT stand this show usually has, she was surprised.  I guess she thought the "Dr." Phill show was a fair represntation.

No, I didn't watch it.

I often think that the only thing Dr. Phil (who isn't actually licensed) really cares about is collecting a check. A check for pretending to be a psyc. and not really caring about anyone or anything other than collecting another check. He is nothing more than a comedian (Clown) who makes his living as a fake Dr. off of other peoples problems.
The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

My mom is a fan of his also strange to me that she would enjoy that show so much.  I would rather be on Maury or Springer then his show.  Not that I would do that either just saying.

You know... i watched this now... and its not so bad... if anything, it shows us in a good light....

The girl was pretty, normal, and just... well a girl... what better flagship? the biggots were uneducated and repetative... they had no real argument, and circled a lot... The sane normal people  looked like the girl and her mother. The raving looneys who belong in an asylum were clearly the 'anti' campaigners....

Why the drama because its dr phill? as someone who doesnt watch his show regularly, it was fine.... You guys really dont ask for much in your representation? you want all pros, and no counter.... Im sorry, but there will always be a counter view to anything... the world being round, gravity... einstein's theory of relativity... doesnt make them wrong...  to be fair, we need to win an fair fight. Prove its right, and normal, and make biggots look stupid... he did that... and the bloke himself didnt pretend to be an expert... just a chatshow host... his guests are the ones who are the 'experts' not him... stop suggesting a showman should be a phsycological expert?

The problem, Starbuck, is that while that show may have seem 'not bad', he has the reputation of not showing us even in a so-so light.  His guests experts are bigoted and he usually does not have anyone that is really working with the TS/TG community.  He does not have any kind of doctorate or PhD, that I am a ware of.

Does he even need one? Does anyone who plays a doctor on tv need one? his guests give the 'expert advice' they hold the ME/ PHDs, not him.... and i dont care about his reputation... nearly 99% of this topic is people saying how bad he normally is, or how bad his reputation is, he does a good show, and all you can do is whine.... surely a bad show that did a good episode is a good thing? You cant look a gift horse in the mouth. It was a good show, iregardless of who hosted it, and ive yet to find a chatshow host NEEDED an ME... It seems the trans community wants a show that is all positive, and no negative, just a big happy ->-bleeped-<-fest... well the real world doesnt work that way... there is oposition, and will be for some time... we ahve to learn to deal with that, and argue against it and win... Plus, i think in our case, there is such thing as no news is bad news.... exposure gets people thinking... however it is.

Dr. Phil holds a B.A. from Midwestern State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

Agreed, he is a lettered person.

But it still seems that he gets his information from Readers Digest.

In my case it has nothing to do with his trans shows.  I just dislike the winged freak.  I get creepy vibes from him.  It's a visceral thing for me.  He doesn't say anything interesting.  He's like that stupid book 'dianetics'  I read 90 pages and realized it was nonsense.  Old Phil is equal to Scientology in my view.  He's just the kind of person I would get stuck sitting next to at a dinner party.  I'd be polite but entirely bored.

By the way, who's planning ->-bleeped-<-fest 2009?

I finally had a chance to watch the latest in the Dr. Phil saga. I'm not a fan of his, in fact this episode didn't make me anymore of a fan than before.

I thought the program was good. I liked what the mom did. She put those two idiots in their place. It took a person, who didn't have any letters behind her name, to make fools of two doctors and the other doctor who's name is on the show. I believe he had to change the whole course of the program as it got out of hand. Those two doctors dug themselves a hole and covered it over with them inside it. The two doctors that were on the mom's side were very good. They stood behind her and comfort her. The last minute or so of the program was the best for me. Now, if Dr. Phil would have gone the whole show of talking about how the people around the TG could be helped in trying to support the TG child and how they themselves could be supported then it would have been a great show. Good ol Dr. Phil, never could get the pronouns right for that child they were talking about. The mom corrected him once that I saw.
