just when you thought that the good doctor (& i'm using that term loosly) could not sink any lower, this idiot (paho) finds a way, on todays show he brought back those two lgtb haiting idiots to spew their hate, and the worse part was they had a resonable well adjusted boy/girl (i'm really not sure if that's even the right term if it's not i'm sorry) and she seamed well adjusted and happy i mean she appered to be an averge girl loves video games clothes and purses. and these idiots were like "dur you can't be a girl your a guy" goddess i just wanted to slap the taste out of that fools mouth.

Dr Phil hosted a show on transgender children and how to deal with the issue. He acted mainly as the moderator.

Overall Phil did good. He didn't rip the parent of the TG girl apart like he did the trans dad some time ago (wouldn't have been appropriate). He seemed to give the pro-transition supporters more talk time.

But the one who really took control was the mom of the TG girl. She was fuming when the religious right side told her how to eradicate the "gender confusion" from children. One of them wrote a book on how to make your gay child go straight!

Just wondering what anyone who saw the show thought...
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

I saw part of it and every time this moron has a show that is about Transgender people I just want to scream.

I was so upset I sent the following Emial to the show and yes I would appear on the show.

QuoteDr. Phil always has those Christian bigots on when he has any show on Transgendered or Transsexual.  I am a Male to Female Transsexual and your shows do nothing but create hatred for our community.  Why don't you show how so many people are now happy.  I am very happy and blessed to live in a state where I can grow and become the woman i should have been.  You have so outraged the GLBT community that you are a laughing stock.  You are referred to as Dr, Fool.  You have no idea to who, what and why we choice to transition.  It is not a matter of we want to do this, we have to.  Do you really think that I would choose to go thru all the surgeries I face and the prejudgeus that can come with this.  You are an idiot.  No one chooses to go thru this, just as no one chooses to have MS.  Get real and realize that not everyone is the Bigoted Christian Right.  We have just as much right to be us as you have to be dead wrong.

I'm not so certain that telling him he's a fool is the best way to get invited on.

Auuugh! Head exploding! Fake therapist and lawsuit magnet Dr. Phil is using his made-up witch doctor talk-show to discuss with the mother of a transgendered teenager, the difficulty she's had with watching her son become a woman. So, who does Dr. Phil have on as guests? Well, on one-side (of an artificially created dichotomy that makes it look like there's real scientific debate about whether gender-identity is inborn or not) is psychiatrist Dr. Dan Siegel and psychotherapist Dr. Michele
Angello and on the "other side of the the debate" is "family
researcher Glenn Stanton and psychologist Dr. Joseph Nicolosi."

I saw part of this while eating in a restaurant today, made me sick to my stomach. I knew since it was DR Phil that it would be bad but it exceeded even my low expectations. Did you all know that TG is a creature of nurture rather than nature. That it's a choice, a phase, that we just need to be made to man it up and we will come out ok.

That would limit his shows to topics about fat bald guys.

I don't watch Dr. (psssssh!) Phil. With YouTube, DVDs, web articles, and ACTUAL psychology shows at my disposal, I have NEVER seen more than 1 Doc. Phil ep. You mean to tell me that this guy, who I assumed was another trained and caring professional seeking to help people, who just so happened to have his own show, is actually NONE of the above (minus the show)? You are saying he brought her there, along with two (from what I gather, they had been on the show before) former visitors, simply to bash her out of her normal and adjusted life and put her into mental turmoil during the show? To try to humilate her and convince her that she couldn't be a girl because she was a boy? IS THAT WHAT YOU ARE TELLING ME? :icon_shakefist:

...Dr. Phil MUST DIE! :icon_burn: *Sorry, internet memes are taking over right now. But I HAD to say it.*

Seriously, if that's what you are telling me, I'm GOING to watch the show to see JUST HOW MUCH of a jack-ass Dr. Eggface is. Just because you have PhD(s) doesn't mean you are right because you say so, it doesn't mean that you have the right to abuse that piece of paper. If you abuse it, that just makes you a jack-ass with a very expensive piece of paper that says "I spent xxx years of my life getting this expensive piece of paper that makes me a pre-eminant jerk." I sure hope that young lady was alright.

Thanks, Krisalyx. I thought Phil was a caring person, like a male Oprah of psychology. I was wrong, it seems.

I'm OFF to go find some videos of Dr. Phil, and determine for myself! AWAAAAY!

I think you just answered the who would watch him question.
But even though I don't care much for Dr. FlimPhil. I do my best to not disrespect others. I'm tall, thin and have a full head of hair. But I don't go telling heavy set bald men rude remarks. Even when they do piss me off. I feel for the family that got abused on his show

oh great the "good"  doctor strikes again oh goddess he's had the same two arse's twice now and what good has it done, it's probally made straight people hate us even more, jackasses, but the girl that was seen she really seamed really well adjusted i mean she was like i'm a girl deal with it! and i loved that and she seemed so happy with herself and thats great, just as long as those biggots stay away from her she'll have a happy life i hope.and it's phrase, no frak you dr phill (i hope this is allowed) it's not a choice i mean it's not like i woke up one morning and decieded "oh i'm a girl" bull->-bleeped-<-e i've been crossdressing when i was in college, and came out first as gay about goddess it's been at least 9 - 10 years now but after i thought about it i'd always liked both boys & girls so here i am bi & i crossdress has anyone else had this sort of problem. oh and for the most part i'm (for the first time in a while) comfortable and happy with myself, but i do have problems that i have to be even more careful when i go out besides being bi besides crossdressing i'm handicapped it's just mostly my legs and no i don't use a walker nor a cane but if i pulled down my girl pants and my stockings and my hose you'd see i've got masive post op scars running down both sides of my legs i mean i can walk but if i don't consitrate i'll fall or i'll hurt myself badly.

You never know.  It depends on his ratings this quarter.  He always gets higher ratings when he has controversy.  And having a well adjusted transsexual would be a good offset to the gay/trans bashers as if that truly shows both sides of the issue.

I too did offer to be on Dr. Fools show.  It's been a coup;e of months, but so far no one from his show has contacted me about coming to Hollywood for a taping.  Ah well...

I've never seen a Dr. Phil Show, of course I don't see TV period, but from all I have heard and read does anyone expect him to say anything but "man up"?

Isn't that his one answer to everything? :)

Apparently that's the answer that fat bald guys give when the going gets tough!  >:-)

Maybe because he has an agenda to legitimize transphobia and anti-trans therapy as science by bringing in pseudo-experts to "prove" it's not what it is, simply being human and perfectly normal? He's doing on TV what the transphobic psychologists are doing to the DSM standards, trying to legitimize morality.

I wouldn't call it morality at all. Trans is not a moral issue, it's a medical issue. And gay is not a moral issue, it's just part of the human spectrum. If we think there's morality attached to that, then there's morality attached to eye colour and height.

Trans Youth Discussed on Dr. Phil
Filed by: Guest Blogger

http://www.bilerico.com/2009/01/trans_youth_discussed_on_dr_phil.php

Editors' note: Frequent guest blogger Monica Helms is the president of TAVA, the Transgender American Veterans Association.

First of all, I have to say up front that I am not a fan of Dr. Phil. Never have been. He comes off as being a pompous, arrogant know-it-all most of the time. Yet, on January 14, 2009, I have to say that he impressed me on how well he presented his show called, "Little Boy Lost," a sequel to the show he had called, "Gender Confused Kids," which aired October 24, 2008. From all of what I read and heard, that first show was not taken very well by the transgender community. This new show quickly made up for that.

On this show, Dr. Phil had Glenn Stanton, researcher for Focus on the Family and psychologist Dr. Joseph Nicolosi from the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH,) both saying it's the parent's job to guide their child away from what they call a "phase." On the other side of the debate was psychiatrist Dr. Dan Siegel and psychotherapist/sexologist Dr. Michele Angello, a good friend of mine. They say children are born this way and parents should support their children in their decision to transition to the opposite sex.

Both he and his people chose who would be on and they picked the most ignorant it's a choice people to offer a counter view that they could find. So I wouldn't give him any credit on how the mother did she most likely surprised them with her ability to defend her child...
