Er, sorry to do one of these posts. I know they are awful.

I was wondering if you folks could take an objective look at how I, um, look. I can't really get a straight anwser out of anyone I know. My family and friends sugercoat the response, and my therapist refuses to anwser becuase she says I should not care. So I'm worried, because I really have no idea if I'll just look stupid when I end up going full time for september...

I really have no idea. Will I pass? Will I need FFS? I tried to make this picture as realistic as possible; I'm holding my hair out of my face, not wearing anything on it, wearing just a t-shirt, etc. I don't start HRT for another month.

Again, sorry for the terrible thread.

Oh this is completely normal to worry about this kind of thing ;). And from looking at this picture....I can see the girl already, seriously. I honestly believed at first you were on HRT before I read you weren't. On HRT, I seriously doubt you will have any issues in looking like a girl ;).

nothing to be paranoid about, hon. the only give away is the shadow which i'm sure laser or electrolysis will cure all too soon. other than that, you already look like a girl. hrt should do wonders for you.

to be honest the only thing that even suggest a masculine appearance is the fine shadow in the mustach and beard area. the angles of your face are rather soft and your face is more round which to me screams feminine. I do not think you will have any problems at all. the one phrase that has always been used to describe me from my friens is I am too blunt so you don't have to worry about me sugar coating anything!

I think you look like a girl who is deciding what make up combo to use. ::)  Always remember to high light your best features  ;)

Gee your not on HRT yet.  I was wondering how many months you were along....  Thought you might be 6 months or more into HRT...

Girl,You do fine on appearance, You look pretty good now and gee wow, Give HRT a year and you'll look fantastic.

Hon.. You look petty good now.  I don't think you'll need FFS at all.  Also peoples perceptions is based not just on appearance, but 1,000 little things we do every second.  THAT takes time to learn and unlearn as the case may be.

It looks like it's already been said well enough, but you definitely look female.  No doubt about it.  I'm jealous.  With HRT and SRS, you'll be golden.  Best wishes!

I agree with Jessie.  I can't tell if it is beard shadow I am seeing or just poor lighting.  And thin your eyebrow out some more maybe.  But FFS isn't something you should even be thinking about that.

I see a young girl, Period.  I should look so good.  Once you are on HRT, things will change even more to the good.

Oh you'll totally pass, face on. Can't comment on other angles, but you're young, your hairline looks good, and your features are really soft, so yeah.

I agree with Beni here, its not just looks but the little things that girls learn through socialisation, etc. Become observant of these and the rest will follow. You have a great start with your looks.

Just wait till a few months on HRT. Then you can ask again :p

Your face looks promising so its just about waiting and let the hormones work and if by then you feel you need FFS. Go for it.

I agree. you should do fine.  Are you wearing any makeup at all?  How long since a shave when this pic was taken?  Do you have any other pics from other angles?  Those would help us help you too.

Best of luck, baby girl!

Thanks for the comments. To be honest, I don't really see all the feminine features you're talking about. My nose, eyes and mouth are all kind of bigish, as far as I can tell...

I'm not wearing any makeup here, and it's about 5 hours since I shaved or so. My hair is really pretty dark, so it seems impossible to get rid of it completely, though I'm pretty lousy at shaving.

Um, what angles should I take pictures from?

45 degrees and a 90 degree profile view, I would think. Do both sides since most people aren't symmetrical.

Hon, i agree with everyone else, i wouldn't worry about passing, i know i would never guess, get the facial hair removed asap, work on your voice and manerisms and you'll do just fine. Pictures with other angles like Mina said would be nice to see. If you start HRT soon by September you should see an even bigger change in facial features. My picture at the left is pretty current, i have been on HRT 8 months, and even though people say pass and when i go out nobody ever looks twice i also feel i don't pass.

Paula.

Alright, here you go. I let my hair down in these ones, but tried to keep a neutral expression so it's not biased. Neutral clothing, no makeup, no shaving for some hours.

As you can see, my nose and chin do stick out a bit. Sorry for the quality, webcam.

In other words you look very good.

Wow Eamber. You have pretty-much everything going for you. Your nose is maybe a bit strong (and I mean a very little-bit), but once you start HRT and your face softens more, that should also go away.

All in all, you're exceptionally fortunate in your features. Cool. :)
