I want to get an idea of where we all are in transition.  Thank you kindly. :)
i know that it seems strange, but im in transition,im not using hormones, and wish it willnt be my way 1 day,im using only herb that wellknown and guarantied, with the minimum side effects, yes its keeping me all the time on a diet since i started 4yrs ago(on herbs)approx.,there is a very small development comparing it with hormones, but its ok to me. ;D

I love how this is in general discussion but is clearly MTF-only.

I was about to say the same thing...I actually went to "vote" and found that I was apparently in the wrong neck of the woods after all.  ???

Would I mess up the stats if I did do the poll? After all, I can honestly say that I'm on hormones, living full time (not dead yet), and haven't had vaginoplasty...

Who knows.  I'd screw them up since i've had a vaginectomy, not a vaginoplasty.

QuoteThank you so much for the welcome, Cindy :), but the woman in my avatar picture isn't me.  She is Beatrice Arthur...All In The Family?, The Golden Girls?  Sounds familiar?

Oh goodness, how could I forget, Cindy slaps herself on the cheek, "I loved that show!" There were so many good TV shows back then. I haven't watched TV since the the late 90's except for to catch up on some news which is not often. I spend most of my time on the net. At least the net is one good way of sharing our own knowledge with others as well as learn some new things.

Anyway I do pray that we cross paths again.

As for me My avatar is me.  ;D

I wish in the polls section it would say where the poll was posted... because I'm pretty sure this was posted on the MtF boards... I think?  If not I'm assuming Vaginoplasty would be SRS or GRS or something.

Either way
Full time: 13 months
Testosterone: 1 month
Top Surgery (what us FtMs have to do to get the M on our paperwork): 2 months away.

So pretty soon I'll be done with the basics, but the T needs some time to do it's magic.  I'll probably have a hysto and a possibly (not sure?) a meta at some point.

The more that people think that FtM's don't exist, the better for stealth. :D
*runs*

In all seriousness though, it grinds my gears that MtF's (and crossdressers/drag queens) seem to be the public perception of 'transsexual'.
Polls, surveys, news articles, studdies...FtM's seem to get ignored.

Unless they are giving birth, that is...

Hi Vexing, hun, grind my gears, sheeeeeesh that's putting it lightly. I believe I already striped a few gears over that topic and I am surprised I never got my pinkies slapped for it. Fortunately maybe no one heard the House Mouse before "ROARRRRR!!!"

Me just a little old lady everyone likes. ;D

Nonsense, if they crash a trolley car that will get coverage too.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

I've always wanted to crash a Trolley car and give birth at the same time  >:-)

I am annoyed at the general public ignorance around the actual face of transpeople as well.  It's annoying.  I was telling someone that I was having surgery and they just assumed I was going to Colorado and getting a penis.  A) FtMs don't have famous surgeons in CO B) getting a dick isn't usually the first surgery an FtM considers, if it's ever even considered seriously.

Plus, I hate that there's so little (and by little I mean nearly none) scientific coverage of FtMs and other female-bodied/female-born/whatever trans people.

Bowers does FTM surgeries-- and she was on Tyra!

As for FTM invisibility, I'm all for it.  At the beginning of my transition it was a bit dismaying, but that ended quickly as i realized the concept of trans 'community' is mostly a farce.  As far as I'm concerned, educate the medical community and keep the rest of the planet in the dark.  I enjoy my life as a man, not as a self-created man, less than a man, other than a man or not a real man.
