"Ava (Calpernia Addams) is a transsexual woman who has recently completed her transition. I'm sure this program is going to be funny 'n all...

but there's one little thing that bugs me

it plays into the 'trans are only trying to deceive straight men' meme

Don'tcha think the Religulous Right will pick this up and say

"SEE!?  We told'ja!"  Then they'll segue into potty issues <sigh>

I wouldn't call Calpernia Addams one of our best ambassadors.  She's always ready to put herself out there as a transsexual and while she may be pretty passable, the shows she's in get their audience attraction by focusing on her being trans.

We're still circus side shows to the media and this girl is doing nothing to prevent that.
