FIRST BIENNIAL STATEWIDE CONFERENCE
Come and show TRANSGENDER SUPPORT for our friends and allies who are generating
momentum for HB538 which is a fully inclusive workplace protection Bill.
Lobby Day is Monday March 2, 2009. This day we will work together with the
Stonewall Democrats, Lambda Legal in an effort coordinated by Equality Texas in
one on one meetings with our state legislators.
Some Highlights
Congressman Jared Polis (D-Colo) and National LGBT Activist Matt Foreman will be
the keynote speakers at the First Biennial Statewide Conference of the Texas
Stonewall Democratic Caucus (TSDC) on February 28 and March 1 in Austin. Polis,
who was elected to his first term in the U.S. House of Representatives in
November, is the first openly gay man elected to Congress as a freshman. Foreman
is the former Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and
a dynamic speaker on the subject of LGBT civil rights.
