An interesting thought - Both of my grandfather had Prostate issues, one was enlarged and the other cancerous.  After the one with cancer lost his twelve year fight after four remissions, I would not want to ever get Prostate Cancer.  Even worse the last two years he completely became dependent, lost almost all memory and restroom control.  His death brought dignity to the prolonged life he was living.  Anyway come to find out the last treatment he had was to kill the cancer that had spread to another organ.  The treatment was successful. but the pain meds used are what brought on his dementia, and the doctors only tolld the family after he started showing those side effects.

Point to the STORY.  Do not get Prostate cancer.  And the best way to fight Prostate Cancer is to prevent it.

After extensive research, I found that the best way to deal with Prostate issues was to be preventative from the start.  And it seems the one of the best ways has been two pronged.  Estrogen therapy and Anti-Androgen therapy.    Both have shown effectiveness using low dose, but also have side effects.  These side effects would be applauded by the transgender community though.   And note the original studies covered oral ingestion of estrogen, not transdermal.  The transdermal route seems to be having some success.

I am over the grieving.   But not so much the anger.  Living with someone in complete dementia is admirable ( god bless my grandmother ).  That being said, the torment the drugs caused to her husband to become a shell of his former self is unacceptable.  Especially since she was not advised of the side effects it could have on him.

So where do I go from here?  I my message can prevent anyone from having Prostate Cancer I will feel better.

And if I happen to grow breasts in the process -- so be it.
