Today is the anniversary of that battle.  Silly people trumpet it as a great example of Australian skill and bravery in winning one of the few actual battles in the Vietnam War.
Seems that all soldiers who fought in the Vietnam War are in some way damaged goods.  I cannot think of anyone who has been improved by the experience.
I loath the mindset of the USA who with stupid logic and reasons involves itself in wars at great cost & no benefit that I can see.  I hold my country's leaders in contempt who for various reasons blindly follow.
My son is a soldier he has so much to offer.   I am scared scared that he will be sacrificed to the Moloch that is US stupidity.  I don't want him to be damaged goods.
I am feeling so down, spent some time with a good friend who is also a Vietnam Vet.  He is also damaged goods :(
