I've come out to a few friends recently, and they've all been so amazingly lovely and supportive, and I just really wanted to share some of what they said. I seriously can't believe I'm this lucky.

I just read your email and I'm proud of you. Its very hard to come to terms with something soo mind blowing but if it means something you have my support 100% and I have my baseball bat ready in case anyone decides to make a move and ill whack them !!!!!

And, from another friend,

i dont think i no whats funnier, the fact that you thought you had to explain to me what transgendered is or the fact you think i hadnt picked it. You know i love you and will support you through anything.

I may not have a multitude of friends, but I'm so lucky in the few close ones I do have.

My friends that I've told have been so supportive, too, it's a great feeling because every bit of love and support counts for so much. I feel that I'm in great fortune to have the support of so many friends, and even my close family. It's great to hear that your friends are so accepting!

I am really happy for you!
When I came out, the two closest friends I had turned their backs on me and I was devastated then.
I think it is more important to have only a few friends who really are your friends than to have lots of people who don't support you at all...
For you I hope everyone else around you will behave like that 😉

I (*finally*) told my oldest friend 10 minutes ago (we've known each other since we were three or four) and she said she thought I was just a tomboy, "but it's really no biggie from my perspective...as long as your happy i'm cool!!".

I know I said it before, but I seriously can't believe I'm this lucky in my friends.

And BlueAndYellow, I hope you've found support in other friends. It's one of those things that you don't realise you need until you have it. If that makes sense. 😛 And I hope that, in the future, everyone else's friends and family are just as wonderful for everyone.
