hello everyone!

i'm new to this board, but trying desperately to find more information. as i'm sure you are aware, there isn't very much available in regards to FTM health and especially the effects of testosterone on eggs. my partner is FTM and we are looking to have a baby soon. we plan to first use his eggs and i will carry the child. however, we are trying to find out how long he needs to be off of testosterone before we attempt this. does anyone have a clue? thank you thank you!

Snakeape,

Personally I didn't save any of my own eggs, so I cant really help you but I would recommend talking to your GP, as I am sure you will have to before the whole treatment process begins.

Wow! It's great that He's wants to do that. Congrats for the future. Um.... If anything, I dont really think It will effect it, but then again I dont know much about T. I mean if his... cycle... Stopped, then I assume to stop taking it until it kicks back up again, but if he's still... yeah... then its should be okay. About 1-3 months should be enough if not overkill... but yeah. Checking with the Docs and what not is probably your best bet.

Not only does he have to stop testosterone, but he also must take a bunch of female hormones to induce the release of more than one egg at a time.  The female hormone regimen alone is typically several months, so my best estimate would be between 6mo-1yr.
