This is just how I get through the day, we each have our own ways of seeing things that help us.
First of all I firmly believe both positive and negative are necessary, you cannot destroy evil because without evil there would be no good or if there was we'd never be able to recognize it. Everything in life teaches us, even if the lessons are bitter they are still lessons in themselves.
So even if there is prejudice towards people who do not represent the societal "norm" whatever the hell the norm is, it just shows us how to open our eyes eventually to new perspectives and to stay strong.
There is no strength without adversity.
Take extreme feminists for example, one might never notice how certain words are gender specific like "mailMAN" or "MANkind". We'd never notice unless we had our eyes opened to that particular point of view, regardless of if their views are right or wrong, they influence our own and allow us to have a better understanding of the world around us.
SO in my views, there have to be two sides to a problem, positive + negative = everything as a whole.
And another thing I like to point out is the paradox in the entire positive negative spin. Positive could really be negative because without positive there would be no negative and negative could really be positive because without negative there is no positive and on and on the spiral goes just like in the Fibonacci where the spiral gets bigger and bigger and is never-ending.
SO *shrugs* add your own thoughts or comments.
