Hello everyone. I found this site yesterday and decided to just hop right in and see what I could learn (and, I hope, give.)

I have a dear friend (met over the Net) who is FTM but is still not quite prepared to accept the transgender label even though he knows it's the one which best fits him. I understand and accept his decision not to be categorised (who of us do like to be placed in categories, after all?) but it does make it difficult to guide him towards sites which might be of help to him.

He has no-one in RL with whom he can talk and I am humbled that he has decided to confide in me. I want to do the best for him and I'm hoping being a member here will help.

Call me Minnie, folks.

Welcome! It's nice that he has such a supportive friend. This is a very supportive place no matter what he decides. So people transition some don't we are here or support not to pass judgement.

Hi Myles!  Yes, at present I don't think he can quite face making any decisions. I'm hoping that if he has the confidence to begin to explore his options he'll reach the stage which is right for him, no matter where along the transition spectrum that is.

I intend to do some serious reading here over the foreseeable future.

Good evening!

I just found this forum today!  I am a bi-man, who loves transsexual women.  There is no more sexy, sweet, loveable woman on earth than a this.  it's good to be here...

Hi Minnie,   :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 1900 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion. Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers.  Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now.  And it is always nice to have another sister.   :icon_hug:

Hi Minnie
I think you are marvelous to be suppotive of your friend. It's a very difficult time. I suggest you direct him to this site as well. I'm MtF so I cannot give any great advice to FtM (but I do anyway - typical female ;)). There are lots of brothers on the site who are always suppotive to a new brother and can help in so many ways.

By the Way.
You are a very special person :-*

Hi Minnie, You seem to be a very understanding person. Your friend is fortunate. Do invite him to visit this site. Surely he will find many supportive people here. Genevieve.

Thank you so much, Cindy! And thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome.  I have already introduced another FTM friend to the site and she is finding it a great help. (I call her "she" because that is how she terms herself at present. I call my first friend "he" because that is how he introduced himself to me.)

I'm already finding so much that is wonderful here. Hearing the voices of other trans people is helping me understand my friends so much better.

Thank you all again.
