Can I completely turn off email notices about replies to posts?

Go to your PROFILE -> MODIFY PROFILE -> NOTIFICATIONS

I don't like that it sends you notifications by default either.

I turned off my notifications, but I'm still getting them. Irritating.

On that same page is a Current Topic Notifications box. You should unsubscribe from any threads it has listed.

The unsubscribe button is, of course, conveniently located down at the bottom of the page, where I was unlikely to see it because I was TOO STUPID TO LOOK.

I can't even modify anything about my account. There is no option to unsubscribe from any thread in my account>>modify settings. There is only a group option there.

Can anyone help? Those auto email notifications are annoying
